Meeting of the Visegrad Group representatives (V4), 09.11.2017, Budapest, Hungary

On 9 November 2017 in Budapest, Hungary was held a meeting of experts from Visegrad Group member states, devoted to climate change and agriculture. IUNG-PIB was represented by dr Magdalena Borzęcka, acting under the authority of Prof. Wiesław Oleszek, Director of IUN-PIB. Dr Borzęcka signed the letter of intent declaring harmonization of research activities designed to prepare agriculture in the region of Central Europe for climate changes.
Dr Magdalena Borzęcka delivered a lecture on “Environmentally friendly farming and  the role of soils in the shadow of climate change.”
At the meeting organized by the Hungarian Presidency of the Visegrad Group Poland was represented by prof. Grzegorz Woźniakowski from the National Veterinary Research Institute in Puławy and Robert Sobkow from the Institute of Natural Fibers and Medicinal Plants in Poznań. The meeting was also attended by the Head of the Political-Economic Section of the Polish Embassy in Budapest, Michal Andrukonis
